HEART DAY MERINGUES

An easy way to spice it up this year...WITH RED HOTS

Soooo, go get my original Meringue Cloud Cookie Recipe, and add the fun below...

-Put heart-shaped, or not, Red Hots cinnamon candy in a baggie and wrap baggie in a paper towel. Proceed to crush candies with a meat tenderizer, hammer or rock, whichever tool of your choice. Set crushed candy aside for a sec.
-Melt you chocolate and make the meringue as in my ORIGINAL RECIPE.
-Take out 1 1/2 cups of the meringue and place in a separate bowl and mix a couple drops of red food-coloring to color meringue pink.

-Very lightly and gently and really not much at all so you can keep nice contrasting ribbons..fold
in chocolate, pink colored meringue, crushed Red Hots, a couple drops of red food coloring.

THE END! STAY CUTE UNTIL NEXT TIME

These look like fun! Great artistic update of Meringue Cookies which are, in my opinion, the perfect Valentine treat.

Cool! Meringue do tend to be blah so this is a great way to make them more interesting!
