Broiled Grapefruit

There is really no need to ramble on about the broiled grapefruit. It's very simple, they are quick, easy, and a super delicious addition to any breakfast. :)
So there ya go, Enjoy!

Recipe serves 4 peeples
Ingredients
2 Grapefruit (Not ruby. Well, I guess you could try it with Ruby, they're just not as sour)
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbs melted butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp orange zest
4 whole fresh cranberries

What to do:
- Cut grapefruit in half crosswise if you need to cut a thin slice off the bottom of each half so they don't wobble.

-With a small sharp serrated knife, loosen the grapefruit segments in each half by cutting between the fruit and the peel and then by cutting along either side of each segment to free it from the membrane.
-Place the halves upright in a baking dish lined with aluminum foil.
-In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, vanilla, and orange zest.
-Sprinkle and then spread the sugar mixture evenly over the grapefruit halves and put a little glob in the middle hole of the grapefruit.
-Push 1 cranberry in the middle of grapefruit. You want them to be submerged in juice and sugar.
Then put in the broiler about 4 inches from the heat source and broil for 2-3 minutes tops-until the sugar is bubbly.
- With tongs, transfer each grapefruit half to an individual dish to serve immediately.
-To reheat, pop in microwave for approx. 30 seconds.

THE END! Have a wonderful day! :)

Ooh, I've never heard of broiled Grapefruit. I'm not much of a grapefruit fan, but then I've never tried it this way before - I'll have to give it a go! Thanks Ivy!
