When my friend, Amy, moved to New York City, she left me with 3/4 jar of this fancy french Confit*perserved* De Petale de Violettes *Violet Jelly*. The jelly has a sweet and unique floral taste that also has a slight zing. The taste is hard to describe, maybe.... think lavender(floral) but, lighter, sweeter and with a punch of citrus? I read online that it is eaten with toast, crepes and put in cakes and tarts etc...
I really want to make something FUN and new with this jelly!
WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD MAKE?
I think I need another flavor to pair it with though.
WHAT FLAVOR DO YOU THINK COULD GO WELL WITH VIOLET?
I would do lemon, but that seems a bit boring?
What do you think of about mini blueberry and violet jelly upside-down cake?
Anyway, It's a beautiful day and I am off to the beach. Have a lovely Sunday!
THE END!

blueberry sounds like a good idea! I also think it would probably pair well with something 'plain' like shortbread or something? Sounds like an awesome 'jelly'! :)
Oh! After I sent you an email saying I couldn't comment on your blog, I figured out what was wrong (on my end)!
I think something tart would be nice - even though lemon is often used I don't think it would be boring. Maybe grapefruit or blackberry? I'm interested to see what you come up with!
I wouldn't want to pair it with anything strong because I would really want to get to taste the new flavor. Totally boring - but, I'd probably go simple, like vanilla bean.
